Caspar Smit discovered an issue in the recently introduced -g parameter in check_smart.pl - a Nagios plugin to monitor the SMART status of hard drives. When one of the disks had SMART failures, the output on the disks to follow was empty:
WARNING: [/dev/sda] - Device is clean --- [/dev/sdb] - Device is clean --- [/dev/sdc] - Device is clean --- [/dev/sdd] - Attribute Airflow_Temperature_Cel failed at In_the_past --- [/dev/sde] - Attribute Airflow_Temperature_Cel failed at In_the_past --- [/dev/sdf] - --- [/dev/sdg] - --- [/dev/sdh] - ---
Thanks to the debugging investigations and code thinkings of him and Jerome Lauret, this issue (publicly documented as issue #3) is now fixed in version 5.2 of check_smart.pl
